Activity Guide
Ziplining
Spring, Summer, Fall, Winter, Year-Round
Overview
What to Expect
Ziplining in Big Bear is more than arriving at a roadside platform and taking a few quick rides. Action Zipline's course is set in the forest at about 8,400 feet. The experience includes nine ziplines that become progressively longer and faster, a suspension bridge and an off-road ride to reach the mountain course. That remote setting—and the time it takes to get there—is a big part of what makes this different from a short amusement attraction in town.

What Makes It Special
Best Season
The Best Time to Go
Action Zipline advertises year-round tours, but this is an outdoor course at roughly 8,400 feet, so mountain weather matters. Summer can be considerably cooler on the course than down the mountain, while winter requires proper layers and weather can affect operations. Confirm the day's status rather than assuming conditions around Big Bear Lake are identical at the course.

Local Tip
This is a half-day-style activity, not a quick ride to squeeze between lunch and another reservation. The remote course is part of the experience: check-in, getting to the site, the off-road transfer and moving a group through nine lines all take time. Leave room around the reservation instead of planning your next stop based on the minutes you expect to spend actually ziplining.
