Honoring Our Heroes in Big Bear Lake

Visiting Veterans Park

Big Bear Lake's Veterans Park offers a beautiful space to pay your respects and reflect on the sacrifices of our nation's heroes. Located just east of Pine Knot on Big Bear Boulevard, the park features a large bandstand and plenty of benches nestled amongst scenic pines. Dedicated in 2001, Veterans Park serves as a permanent memorial to veterans of all wars. Take a moment to stroll through the park and appreciate the markers and displays honoring their service.

This ceremony honors the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice for our country. While specific details for the 2024 ceremony haven't been announced yet, you can typically expect it to be held on Memorial Day itself (Monday, May 27th, 2024) at Veterans Park.  The ceremony usually starts in the morning. Be sure to check the official Big Bear Lake website closer to the date for the exact time and any special speakers or programs planned.
