Unleashing Fun at Big Bear Lake's Bark Park

Visiting Big Bear Lake with your dog? Don't forget to factor in some playtime at Bark Park! This off-leash area provides a safe space for your dog to burn off energy and socialize with fellow dogs. While your pup enjoys playtime with other dogs, you can relax on a nearby bench and take in the scenery. Bark Park is a great way to keep your dog happy and exercised during your Big Bear Lake adventure.

Where is Bark Park Located?

Bark Park is located at 41220 Park Ave. in Big Bear Lake on the southern side of the lake between the Village and Moonridge. It is right next to both Ski Beach and Meadow Park. From Big Bear Blvd, take Jeffries Road (corner where Grizzly Manor Cafe is located) to Park Avenue. Bark Park is open from dusk til dawn.

What to Expect

Bark Park is divided into two  fenced sections: one for small dogs and another for large dogs to play off leash. There is ample space for dogs to run and play, however, the dog park is on the average to small side. The ground inside the dog park areas is a sandy dirt which can be muddy in wet weather. Inside each fenced area are benches that you can relax on while your dog plays. Its best to bring poop bags with you but there are also waste disposal bags available at the dog park.

Just outside the dog park are both two parks that have basic amenities like benches, restrooms, picnic tables, tennis courts, and play areas for kids so you can also walk your dog around these areas, leashed.

Additional Information

  • Parking: There's ample parking available near Bark Park, Ski Beach and Meadow Park.
  • Safety First: Always supervise your dog while at the park. Keep an eye on their interactions with other dogs and be mindful of their overall well-being.
