There are two ski resorts located in Big Bear Lake and a third a short drive away in Running Springs
Bear Mountain is located near Snow Summit in the Moonridge Area of Big Bear Lake. Offers lessons, rentals and hosts a variety of events.
Snow Summit is located near the Village in Big Bear Lake. Snow Summit additionally offers night skiing and hosts a variety of events in the winter.
Located in Running Springs. This is a smaller, less crowded resort. Also, across the street is the Nordic Ski Area for snow shoeing.
Did you know that Big Bear Lake has multiple snowshoeing trails? And if you are new to snowshoeing you can head to the Discovery Center for a map, plus ski and snowboard shops in town rent equipment!
Certain areas of the San Bernardino National Forest allow you to sled and play in the snow.
Big Bear Snow Play offers a thrilling tubing experience for visitors of all ages. They provide tubes and have a magic carpet ride to the top of the slopes. Depending on the weather and time of year, they also offer go karts.
Alpine Slide is a year round adventure park. During the winter months they offer a magic carpet conveyor lift and snow tubing down their mountain. Depending on the weather, there are other attractions that may be open.
Grizzly Ridge is part of Snow Summit and operated by the resort. This is perfect for groups or families who all want to experience snow adventure but may not want to ski or snowboard. Tickets are available online.
